Monument is being taken over by a Civil War regiment! Meet 1860s-era impersonators (male and female, military and civilian) strolling the circle. Visit fixed stations to learn about medicine, weaponry, relief efforts, and more. General Lew Wallace, the Indiana-born Union general and novelist (1827-1905), and Lt. Col. William Henry Wishard, MD, a Civil War surgeon (1816-1913). While you’re there, slip into the best kept secret museum in town: the Col. Eli Lilly Civil War Museum in the base of the Monument. Presented by the Mid States Living History Association, Inc.

SPARK hosted over 10,000 visitors who made 2,000 Taylor Swift-themed postcards created by local artists that will be mailed around the world for free, made hundreds of bracelets, got their faces painted, participated in Mary Jo Bayliss’ @andknits’s collaborative art project, enjoyed local music, and more all weekend long.
