On Make Music Day, musicians of all ages and skill levels share their love of music with
communities around the world through free music performances and events.
Make Music Day began in France in 1982 as the FĂȘte de la Musique and is now celebrated
on the same day in more than 2,000 cities in 120 countries. Make Music Day made its
American debut in New York in 2006. Since then, more than 100 cities throughout the
country have established city-wide celebrations that provide free music-listening and
music-making opportunities for the community.
For the third year, Indianapolis will recognize Make Music Day as a city-wide event.
Eskenazi Health is excited to once again spearhead Make Music Indy, and we hope you
will make music with us on June 21.
