GRID Art Activation with Kassie Woodworth

Learn to scale a drawing:
On September 26, artist Kassie Woodworth will host an interactive art activity on Monument
Circle that invites participants to explore the process of scaling a drawing from paper to a larger
format. Each participant will receive a sheet of paper to create their own sketch. Using the
traditional grid method—commonly used by muralists and large-scale artists—they will then
transfer their design onto the ground with chalk, creating a larger version of their artwork. This
activity offers a hands-on introduction to a classic artist’s tool while encouraging creativity and
playful experimentation in a public space.
