Preserving Hoosier Black Heritage
Presenter: Eunice Trotter
This talk focuses on the work being done by the Indiana Landmarks Black Heritage Preservation Program to uncover, document and preserve Black heritage, both with and without physical sites. Audiences will receive a significant overview of Hoosier history and the role of African Americans in that history.
Circle Side Chats is in partnership with Indiana Humanities. Indiana Humanities is a statewide nonprofit that infuses the humanities into our daily lives. We do this by providing grants, convening discussions, uplifting humanities scholars, spotlighting humanities organizations and activities, and creating our own programs that help Hoosiers think, read and talk.
