GRID Art Activation with Kassie Woodworth
Learn to scale a drawing: On September 26, artist Kassie Woodworth will host an interactive art activity on Monument Circle that invites participants to explore the process of scaling a drawing from paper to a larger format. Each participant will receive a sheet of paper to create their own sketch. Using the traditional grid method—commonly used by muralists and large-scale artists—they will then transfer their design onto the ground with chalk, creating a larger version of their artwork. Join us for an exciting and fantastical puppet performance at SPARK! What Nature Brings is a puppet show focused on Indiana folklore with the intergenerational wisdom that is forever changing how we treat the Earth. Activity Participants will explore perspective by designing and constructing small 3D houses. This hands-on project helps develop spatial awareness, creativity, and an understanding of how drawings transform into three-dimensional forms.
