SUMMARY:FREE Henna hand painting with Indy Henna
DESCRIPTION:Henna – the beautiful tattoo-like body art\, most commonly found on hands and feet\, has been used to adorn the hands and feet of women during social holidays and celebrations since the late Bronze age in the eastern Mediterranean. Henna is a dye prepared from the plant Lawsonia Inermis\, a small flowering plant with leaves that are dried and formed into a powder. The powder is then mixed with tea or water to create a paste which is then able to be applied to the skin or hair to result in a temporary tattoo. \nHistorically\, henna was used in the Arabian Peninsula\, Indian subcontinent\, the Middle East\, and other parts of North Africa. Henna has been used since antiquity to dye skin\, hair\, and fingernails\, as well as fabrics including silk\, wool\, and leather. \nPam Shah has been a henna artist for 35 years and is committed to making sure her clients have a wonderful experience with henna and enjoy being able to show it off to friends and family. The henna she does ranges from simple to very detailed designs. \n
